Princeton undergraduate student and NUDEST’s new Social Media and Marketing Intern, Shea Minter, introduces herself and talks about why she has decided to join our fashion-tech startup.
Q: Where are you from and what is your educational background?
I'm originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, but I moved one state over and am currently a sophomore at Princeton University in New Jersey. I haven't officially declared my major yet, but I'll probably be majoring in Politics and getting a minor in Statistics and Machine learning.
Q: What made you decide to join a startup while in college?
I've always been interested in business and entrepreneurship, and startups give you a chance to learn a lot really quickly, and to take on a lot of responsibility early on.
Q: What are you hoping to learn while working at NUDEST?
I'm loving the experience I'm getting so far with social media and marketing. As a statistics minor, I'm also very excited to delve into projects regarding the NUDEMETER and the science behind diversity in fashion!
Q: What advice do you have for anyone searching for internships in technology?
Technology is such a bustling area right now, that I recommend finding an issue you're passionate about or want to make a change in-- that passion, more than the job description or resume lines, is going to help you find the right placement and enjoy your time there!
Thanks, Shea! We’re so excited to be working with you.
