Back in December, we decided to start exploring a problem in the fashion industry — that items labeled as “nude” are not, in fact, nude for everyone. Women come in a wide range of beautiful skin tones that all deserve products that match their unique hue and meet their needs.  So we’ve spent our final semester at HBS on an independent project building a business plan to fix the issue. With your help we’ve conducted consumer surveys, performed industry research and spoken to fashion professionals; today we are proud to announce that our project is about to become an operating company! Mia Pielle is a digital platform that expertly curates lingerie, clothing and accessories in six different shades of nude from a variety of online retailers and brands. Whether you’re a fair ivory hue or a deep mahogany brown, our technology finds items in the best color for you — even if the product is not labeled as “nude.” In less than 1 week we’ll be launching the Minimum Viable Product (MVP) version that we have named “Mia Pielle Alpha,” which will be accessible to a closed group of users for viewing, shopping, and feedback. You are already signed up, and are welcome to claim invites for your friends and family as well. Thanks for being a part of our journey as we endeavor to make fashion more inclusive of all skin tones.

Thank you ladies for coming up with a solution for “nude” lingerie. I am not a woman of color but still am not able to find a nude bra or panty. Great idea!!!!
