New York Fashion Week is a coveted experience for fashion designers to showcase their vision through clothing for the world to see. The level of effort that goes into producing a runway show is astonishing, and every detail must be perfect before it hits the runway.

Dennis Basso was no exception to this new trend of diversity. Basso’s collection featured women of all hues for his NYFW Spring Show. Basso spoke about the collection with The Hollywood Reporter saying, “The whole inspiration was the modern, untamed, woman.”It was exciting to see more diversity on the runways at this Spring 2017 New York Fashion Week shows this year. The fashion industry is beginning to embrace women of all shapes, sizes, ethnicities, and skin tones. Plus-size models are now walking the runways as the new beauty standard along with models that represent countries from all over the world.

In order to execute his “untamed” inspiration, while still being tasteful and elegant, Basso presented a collection of sheer nude illusion dresses, and hired a diverse lineup of models of different skin tones to wear them. To achieve the flawless yet tasteful look of bareness underneath, the right nude underpinnings were essential.

Dennis Basso's team called on Nudest to provide thongs, panties, and nipple covers from our wide assortment of more than 50 shades of nude to achieve the look on their diverse models. Because of our ability to provide true nude options for women of all shades, Basso’s collection was sent down the runway with confidence that the nude illusion would actually work for everyone.
